How we calculate

We multiply your spend in each category by the card's stated cashback or points rate for that category (or its “all spend” rate), apply any monthly cap, scale to a year and subtract the annual fee. Points and miles are valued only when a redemption value is stated. Results are estimates and depend on the bank's terms.
